A 44-year-old Carroll Plantation woman has been charged with arson following a residential fire at 1721 Main Road.
According to News Center Maine, Maine State Police were called to the home at about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday for reports that a woman was causing damage to a home and there was a fire at the home.
Kelli Giles was arrested after an investigation by the state fire marshal's office determined the fire was set intentionally.
Q106.5 reported that Giles was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. Once she was released from the hospital, she was taken into custody and taken to the Penobscot County Jail by the Lincoln Police Department.
Giles reportedly lived at the residence that burned but is not the homeowner.
